Wesroc Warranty Information
WHAT
IS COVERED:
WESROC®
warrants that it’s products will be free from defects in
workmanship and materials, with the exceptions stated below.
HOW
LONG COVERAGE LASTS:
This
warranty runs for a period of 36 months (three years) from the date
the product is initially purchased new by the consumer from WESROC or
WESROC authorized distributor. The exception is the Industrial
Cellular Unit as described below.
INDUSTRIAL
CELLULAR UNITS:
These
units are warranted for 60 months (5 years).
BATTERY
LIFE WARRANTY:
Satellite
- 36 month (three years) or 1,200 reports, whichever occurs first.
Industrial Cellular - 60 months (five years) or 2,200 reports
whichever occurs first. Residential Cellular - 36 months or 500
reports whichever occurs first. (reports once a week)
WHAT
WESROC WILL DO:
WESROC
will, without charge, repair or replace, at WESROC’s option, the
product or component parts which prove to be defective in workmanship
or materials within the warranty period set forth in the immediately
preceding paragraph.
WHAT
IS NOT COVERED:
This
warranty does not extend to accessory items purchased by WESROC from
other manufacturers such as gauges, dials, computer accessories, etc.
(the warranty on those items will be as designated by, and defects
repaired or replaced by, their respective manufacturers in accordance
with such warranties, if any.) This warranty does not extend to any
problem caused by your carelessness, spilled liquid fuels on WESROC
Units and cables, neglect, misuse, accident, intentional act,
unauthorized modifications, repairs or adjustments, or to any
problems caused by network services (cellular, satellite, LoRa ioT,
telephone line, internet connections) and coverage, fire, lightning,
flood, explosion, excessive moisture or other Acts of God. Also,
consequential and incidental damages, including but not limited to
fuel run outs, equipment malfunction, loss of profit and third-party
claims, are excluded from this warranty. Some states do not allow
the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages,
so the above limitation of exclusion of such damages may not apply to
you: provided, however, that in any such state the balance of the
limitations set forth in this paragraph will remain in effect to the
fullest extent allowed by law.
LIMITATION
ON IMPLIED WARRANTIES:
Only
the warranties expressly stated herein are provided by WESROC. All
other warranties are expressly excluded, except as otherwise stated
herein. Notwithstanding the foregoing, implied warranties, such as
warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose
are NOT excluded; provided, however, that all implied warranties of
any nature are limited to the duration (36 months) of the express
warranties provided herein, as set forth in the paragraph titled “How
Long Coverage Lasts.” Some states do not allow limitations on how
long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply
to you.
RETURNING
A DEVICE FOR WARRANTY SERVICE:
WESROC
will track the product serial numbers within our manufacturing
software system when the product is shipped, saving our customers
from tracking serial numbers for warranty purposes. Therefore, you do
not need to return a warranty registration card to be eligible.
If
there is a defect in the product workmanship or material, then you
MUST do the following (failure to comply with these steps may void
coverage under this warranty):
1.
Call the WESROC Customer Service Division at (866) 493-7762 to work
with a technical support representative to identify the issue with
the device. There are many instances where a problem can be resolved
in the field and a return is not required.
2.
If the Technical Support Representative determines the device
requires Warranty Service, they will issue you a Return Authorization
Number and email you a confirmation with return shipping
instructions. Please package the unit properly for shipping to
prevent damage in shipping.
3.
Ship the product, postage or shipping freight prepaid, to the WESROC
Repair Services Division at the address show below.
All
packages must contain a Return Authorization Number in order for our
Repair Division to accept the package for repair. Unauthorized
Product Returns will not be accepted.
WHAT
WESROC WILL DO:
Upon
receipt of the unit at its Repair Services Division, WESROC will
determine whether the problem is the result of a defect in material
workmanship. If WESROC determines that the problem is not covered
under this warranty, WESROC will notify you of it’s determination.
If the problem is not covered under this warranty, you may authorize
WESROC to repair or replace the item at your cost, which shall
include the cost of shipping the repaired or replaced item to you. If
WESROC determines that the problem is the result of defect in
material or workmanship and covered under this warranty, then WESROC
will repair or replace the unit and return it to you, postage or
freight prepaid.
YOUR
RIGHTS UNDER STATE LAW:
This
warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other
rights which vary from state to state.
